Interview Skills: More than a Gut Feeling:

This half-day session takes personnel involved in the interviewing process through the entire spectrum of interviewing. With the upcoming economic recovery, finding the right people for the right jobs is essential. This means asking the right questions. Participants will learn to develop questions specific to their section. Additionally, these questions will be designed to help predict future behavior based on past experiences.

Different workshops are offered for hourly employees and for management. The Hourly program focuses on behaviors that need to be avoided. Methods and procedures for reporting harassment can be tailored to each business. Management program focus on recognizing and correcting behavior and legal obligations handling each situation.

Business necessitates polished presentation skills. This class provides methods to reduce stress associated with public speaking, polishes speaking skills and teaches presentation skills from the recipients’ perspective.

Effective Listening Skills

The Hospitality environment provides us with important client contacts that can make or break an event. Effectively listening to their needs and providing them with the service they require is essential to both present and future business. Levels of listening skills will be examined. Participants will have the opportunity to practice active and effective listening.

Managing Change in the Workplace

Dilbert once said, “Change is good- you go first”. Most of us don’t like changes. However, change is a fact of life everywhere. From enhanced security, to new procedures and even client demands contribute to a “different way to do it.” Learn how to manage change by taking employees through the process in a manner that recognizes and addresses their apprehensions and enhances your team’s performance.
